It's more than a week after the drama competition finals...still can't believe that it's all over....weeks of stress came down to that one nite.. I wouldn't say it went perfect, in fact there wasn't a moment when I could truly relax n enjoy da show. But heck, wat's important was dat it did sumwhat end on a rather high note *beams*

Seeing the drama competition from an organiser's point of view is really an interesting experience...it's HARD WORK...but still..pretty fun. Being the organisers of an event has its perks...as sum of them would *erm* testify to this......*erhem*
I noe those who were with me throughout the event would be expecting me to write a post dat's based entirely on a *certain* person...AHAH! i'm not DAT OBSSeSSed!! besides...i was influenced by Shaz n everyone else totally exaggerated everything!! *sob*

neway...down to very SeRiOus blogging business...2 days of pre-lims led up to the finals. Purplebox was superb for a drama competition..too good I think...dats y the teams dat made it to the finals didn't fair as well in LT1.

Day 1- Prelims

Managed to secure Edwin Sumun, Gavin Yap & Rashid Salleh as judges. A million thanx to Dora for helping me get Gavin ( n I am prettay sure da majority of the female audience thanx u too!! *wink*). I was super excited but extremely nervous at the same time, I've always held the opinion that local celebs tend to haf a certain 'air' abt dem & was fairly warned abt it too! This fuelled a fair amount of anxiety abt the judges in me..

As it turns out......

1. They really were quite easygoing. esp Edwin ! =D

2. No. they didn't arrive fashionably late. In fact I found myself in a fix wen Rashid & Gavin came early...

3. Before this 2 judges made sure I didn't address dem as 'Mr' the last one said 'Mr' made him sound like he was fifty..*eeks*

4. They kept telling me to stop apologising..*blush*

tots 4 dat day: Claypot Curse was SOOOO gd!!! n I think the highlight of the day was when all 3 judges sat in the centre and gave their comments, it was at dat point when I realised how worthwhile it was to organise the drama competition...^^

Day 2 - Prelims Part II

Edwin Sumun & Gavin Yap returned as judges and Mark Teh completed the panel as the 3rd judge. Interesting thing I learnt abt Mark while I was fumbling backstage; he was an ex- Taylor's student n not jus any student but an A level's student too!! *grins*

The second day was a rather...umm..different. Well for a number of pretty obvious reasons..

1. *erhem* had lunch with Gavin.. STRICTLY PROFESSIONAL!! (he arrived early! couldn't well let a judges haf lunch on his own could I?? *innocent face* ) but dangit...LOADSA ppl wouldn't stop teasing me abt it. *sigh*

2. Edwin came in with a striking wig! LOL..

3. Dere was a grp dat did a parody of various films..yeap..Willy Wanker (no. dis isn't a typo it is Wanker not Wonka) was pretty darn funnay!!

4. Jo n JenBear did their play...*wow* they were GUD!

5. Weird audiences, enthusiastically cheering whenever Gavin sed da four letter word...*hmm*

6. HORRIBLE ppl, teasing me non-stop about Gavin ( all I sed was he's kinda cute..not like I was da only person neway..*hhmph*) Since da pic I took with him da day be4 sumhow got deleted *rubs chin* ( I suspect t'was an act of jealousy...) it was only apropriate for me to take another one before he left!! teehee..

...jus when i tot things couldn't get any worse..Yogi made a riduculous comment in front of Edwin!! so...Edwin began joining the 'fun', cept he took it a step further and teased me right in front of Gavin!!! (talk abt embarassed to the max!!! *faints*) My wonderful reputation as a Ms- very-professional...GONE! *gahhh*

7. Had dinner with Edwin n Gavin" A.C. Didn't get to talk to dem though..sumhow got pushed to the other end of the table *grumble*

8. Tried my 2nd game of pool!!!hehe..Dora dragged me into dat...=P got expert help frm Ronnie n Rishaad too!

tots 4 dat day: although the part where the judges gave their comments was the best...i must confess that the highlight of the day has got to be...*drum roll* da hug frm Gavin *eeks* (dun shoot me..I am a girl afterall..-^^-)

Saturday, 15th April- FINALS!!!!

The night that I've been working my arse off for, has finally arrived..Things did not start out smoothly. I had a considerable number of bumps ( no need to get into specifics *sigh*; Dora, if ure reading this, a million hugz to u 4 saving my a** soo many times..). But as I ticked each performance off the programme, I became more and more relaxed...a lil sad too. Realised how soon everything would be over...*sob*

Special nite..special numbers..I got 4 judges to come!!! Edwin came 4 all 3 days. Chae Lian, Kennie Dowle and Joanna Bessey joined da judging panel for da nite.

'Claypot Curse' - winner of Best Group Performance & Best Performer went to the Chi Ku Teh man...very deserving I must say. Superb chemistry among characters, and extremely hilarious!! 1 really kewl thing abt this grp was dey barely made it into the finals n nearly didn't go thru da pre lims becos 1 team member was sick!!

the..erm..Scrotumers...their name is jus as difficult to comprehend as their need for english accents.

Keadilan...presenting a story on strong women *yay!!*, this won them the 2nd Best group performance and one of em even bagged Best performer 2

Jo n JenBear's piece...excellent story! Fabulous performance! sorry u guyz din win in the end.. Thought u guyz were great though!! Keep it up!!!! *hugz*

Overall Tots: It was an amazing experience for me ( yes. It sounds pretty cliche-ish, sumtimes cliches are da only thing u can use to describe..*sigh*). I've learnt so much from organising this event. Definitely had my fair share of stress and sadness..-at one point reality kicked in really hard! it's a times like this wen everything becomes clear and u realise dat certain things are SO not wat it seems. Nevertheless I'm glad I pulled thru..-but more importantly i had LOADSA fun and the feeling I got when everything was over was jus amazing! *beams*

Fantastic judges and supportive peers really made things so much easier for me *BIG hugz to all!!!!*

p.s. HUUUUGE THANKS to everyone who helped and encouraged me!! esp. me buddie-wuddies ( u noe who u r!!) for being ard when I needed u most ( wat would I do w'o u guyz to bitch to ???? would prob haf died of overwhelming stress *grins*) loadsa luv, hug n kisses to y'all!!! ^^
